At Minifaber, we perform steel punching with a well-equipped machine park, working with steel, aluminum, iron, and special alloys.

Steel punching

Stainless steel punching is a fast and versatile process that can transform flat sheet metal into semi-finished and finished products.

The stainless steel punching process in Minifaber

Stainless steel is widely used in a variety of industries, such as medical, food, pharmaceutical, shipbuilding, furniture, home appliances and much more. Compared to other materials, stainless steel has higher mechanical strength and therefore requires a higher punching force. In addition, it is necessary to identify a tool set with the correct operating clearance between the die and punch. This serves to perform punching without excessive burrs and avoid machine downtime due to rapid tool wear. Minifaber is familiar with all the techniques needed for punching stainless steel.
At Minifaber, punch presses are combined with laser cutting. The machines are therefore equipped with both a punching head and a laser cutting head. This exploits the benefits of the two technologies to improve productivity and product quality.
In order to better exploit and optimize the sheet metal from which the parts are made, our qualified and specialized personnel create a nesting CAD design. This provides a quality cutting process that reduces material costs and turnaround times.
