At Minifaber, we perform CNC punching with a well-equipped machine park, working with steel, aluminum, iron, and special alloys.

CNC punching

CNC punching is a fast and versatile process for making semi-finished and finished products from flat sheet metal.

The CNC punching process in Minifaber

CNC (Computer Numerical Control) punching is a sheet metal fabrication process that uses computer-controlled machines to perform holes, cuts, incisions and deformations on the surface of sheet metal with high precision and automation. It is an advanced technology that uses numerical control to move the sheet metal and tools in a coordinated manner
Typical punch press tools consist of sets of die punches and blank holders. The right set of tools with the correct clearance between the die and blank holder should be chosen, depending on the sheet metal thickness and material type. This is to avoid performing shearing with a lot of burrs and avoid deforming the sheet metal.
At Minifaber, CNC punch presses are combined with laser cutting. The machines are therefore equipped with both a punching head and a laser cutting head. This exploits the benefits of the two technologies to improve productivity and product quality.
In order to better exploit and optimize the sheet metal from which the parts are made, our qualified and specialized personnel create a nesting CAD design. This provides a quality cutting process that reduces material costs and turnaround times.
