At Minifaber, we handle all sheet metal processes, particularly cold processes: deep drawing, stamping, punching, and bending.

Metal punching

We carry out sheet metal punching using a set of machines consisting of four punch presses

The metal punching process in Minifaber

Sheet metal punching is one of the most popular processes on the market. Minifaber performs punching with the most advanced technology available, using latest generation machinery. We are able to perform this type of process on a wide range of metals.
Here is what you will learn on this page:

  • What punching consists of
  • What metals we can perform punching on
  • Our sheet metal punch presses.

Minifaber uses the most suitable machine, depending on the material, sheet metal thickness and the type of figure to be made.
In fact, thanks to the know-how gained from working with hundreds of companies internationally, we are able to recommend the best solution to achieve the desired result.

Punching: what it consists of and how it works

In industry, the punching process is used to shear or punch various types of metals, including ferrous materials, steel in general, stainless steel, copper, and aluminum. It is done with machines called punch presses, equipped with a set of tools, each of which makes a sheared part of its own shape and size. The tool generally consists of a die, punch and blank holder.

The punch press is not only used to perform shearing/punching. In fact, it can also perform small bends, sheet metal stamping, edge banding and threading.

Sheet metal punching exploits automatic numerically controlled machines. Automatic punch presses use punches and dies of standard or special shapes, depending on the final design to be obtained. At Minifaber, we have punch presses combined with laser cutting. This exploits the benefits of the two combined technologies to improve productivity and product quality.

Our company is structured to meet any metal punching requirement, whether simple or complex. In fact, we have a constantly updated fleet of machines and can perform punching on a wide selection of metals (ferrous materials, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, and special alloys) to meet any need for sheet metal cutting or drilling, and produce precise, high-quality semi-finished products.

Our fleet of state-of-the-art machines for metal punching

Our company makes use of four punch presses, three of which are combined punch press and laser cutting machines. The key technical features of these machines include the ability to work sheet metal up to 1250x2500 mm, with a maximum thickness of 6 mm.
The availability of latest generation machinery is a pro that not all companies can offer. After working in the domestic and international market for more than 65 years, Minifaber can use sheet metal punching to make semi-finished and finished products to meet customers’ needs case by case.

At Minifaber, we handle all sheet metal processes, particularly cold processes: deep drawing, stamping, punching, and bending.
