Sheet metal drawing

Drawing is a versatile process that is suitable for different types of metal because of its ability to shape materials with different mechanical properties without compromising them. 

This flexibility stems from a number of key factors:

• Variety of workable materials: Drawing can be applied to malleable metals that have good plastic reserve, such as some aluminum alloys, copper, brass, low-carbon ferrous materials, and stainless steel. Each material requires different parameters to be set on the drawing press.
• Process customization: hydraulic presses used in drawing have adjustable process force and speed to adapt them to the material to be processed and its thickness. Lubrication (i.e. lubricant type and dosage) is equally important in the drawing process.
• Die Design: custom-designed dies offer specific shapes and can process materials with different degrees of deformability, while maintaining precision and quality.

Because of this adaptability, drawing is widely used in sectors that require complex metal components, such as the medical and electromechanical industries.
