How our story began: it was 1960 in Villa di Serio

Minifaber was founded in 1960 in Villa di Serio (BG) and has since specialized in cold sheet metal working and die design and construction, becoming an international industry leader.

From the design to the semi-finished or finished product, Minifaber has acquired, in more than 65 years of activity, the technologies, experience, and skills necessary to carry out in-house every single phase of the production process: from feasibility studies to design, through prototyping and production in small and large series.

Over time, we have also been able to build a close network of suppliers specializing in surface finishing and heat treatments, with the aim of addressing a comprehensive service to our customers.

This is because it is important for Minifaber to stand by clients as a partner and supplier who takes care of the whole project, from the feasibility study to production and beyond.

Sixty percent of sales come from exports. In addition, with its production facility in Romania, it is able to offer cost-effective off-shored production to the customer.

To make this possible, the company invests in research, training, and innovation.

Innovation also translates into the purchase of new production machinery, as well as innovative machine servomechanisms that optimize the production process and make it more cost-effective. The significant shares of investment devoted to this item confirm this.
Minifaber does not stop here: it also collaborates with external institutes, such as the Polytechnic University of Milan, which is a supporting partner in the research and innovation phases of products and processes.

Minifaber expands its sheet metal stamping and metal alloy cold working business, also in Romania.

The efforts made over the years and the skills acquired in the fields of sheet metal stamping, bending, assembly, welding, and punching naturally resulted in the expansion into international territory.
Since 2008, Minifaber East Europe has been operating in Bacau, Romania, with a production facility of about 5,000 square meters employing 40 people.
With its production facility in Romania, Minifaber is able to offer customers cost-effective delocalized production of some processes. In fact, production can be moved to wherever the customer deems advantageous, ensuring the same know-how and quality standards of the Italian plant.
In fact, Minifaber East Europe pursues the same goals of excellence in the field of sheet metal cold processing, and the philosophy that guides Minifaber East Europe's activities mirrors that which has always been adopted in the Italian plants: "To provide customers with a complete finished product according to their needs and qualitatively competitive."

I numeri di Minifaber

Minifaber è un’eccellenza italiana nella lavorazione a freddo dei metalli. Partner di fiducia di aziende nazionali e internazionali trova, nei numeri, conferma della validità e della qualità del suo modus operandi.

Nasce nel 1960 come azienda specializzata nella lavorazione a freddo delle lamiere, nella tranciatura, nell’imbutitura e saldatura metalli, negli assemblaggi per conto terzi. L’azienda inizia la sua attività contando su pochissime risorse umane e tecnologiche. Quattro persone, due piccole presse meccaniche, una saldatrice a resistenza e una saldatrice MIG, erano tutto quello che l’azienda aveva a disposizione.

Grazie all’esperienza, alle conoscenze tecniche acquisite nel tempo, al perfezionamento delle figure professionali e all’aggiornamento continuo delle tecnologie, è pronta, nel 1975 ad aprire un reparto attrezzeria che comprende un Ufficio Tecnico di Progettazione, destinato alla progettazione e costruzione degli stampi. Nello stesso periodo, vengono introdotte le prime macchine CNC: una punzonatrice CNC e una macchina piegatrice CNC.

In un’ottica di crescita continua, nel 1986 Minifaber diventa una S.p.A. e, 10 anni più tardi nel 1996, realizza la nuova sede operativa di Seriate che oggi si espande su 56.000 mq, di cui 24.000 mq coperti. Un polo produttivo che ospita i reparti di attrezzeria, tranciatura e stampaggio metalli, carpenteria leggera, saldatura e assemblaggio, oltre agli uffici tecnici, commerciali, amministrativi e direttivi.

Oggi Minifaber conta 284 dipendenti, acquista 14.000 tonnellate di metalli ogni anno e che registra una percentuale di export pari al 60%, con un fatturato in costante crescita.

L’essenza della lavorazione della lamiera

Minifaber evolve ed acquisisce una nuova un’identità visiva, sofisticata eppure solida, che incarna perfettamente l’essenza delle lavorazioni della lamiera.
Il design minimalista traccia la lettera iniziale, la M di Minifaber, rendendola sottile e fluida come la lamiera, con curvature oblique che mettono in scena il processo di trasformazione del metallo.
Il nuovo logo, rafforzato dal payoff “Metal Masterpieces”, riflette l’eccellenza tecnica e tecnologica di Minifaber, che si impegna a continuare una storia di eccellenza iniziata nel lontano 1960 a Villa di Serio.
